Patchwork Retreats

The Woodbine, nestled in the beautiful Hope Valley of the Peak District National Park is a great setting for these relaxing gatherings. The truly beautiful, natural setting offered at the Woodbine Café and B&B makes it ideal for a Patchwork Retreat.

We are specialists in organizing five-day and weekend retreats for Patchwork enthusiasts. Come and let us take care of every detail so you can relax as you stitch away the hours only to be interrupted by the aromas of the meals and tasty morsels that we will prepare for you. Kits and an extensive collection of materials are available.

Retreats start at £135 for an all-inclusive two-night package based on twin share.
Retreats start at £250 for an all-inclusive four-night package based on a twin share.

Sample Retreat Program

Monday
2pm arrival introductions, afternoon tea and cakes, introduction to the area and a browse of kits and fabrics.

Tuesday
8.30am – Breakfast served in the dining room. A short talk on Patchwork and then sewing begins, Morning Tea, sewing resumes. Lunch, free time. Afternoon Tea, free time. Dinner is served. After dinner – Free time or something can be organized.

Wednesday same as Tuesday

Thursday
Meals are the same but the day is your own. A trip to Castleton may be the order of the day, visiting caves or gift shops, or some gentle exercise on one of the many local walks. Perhaps we can organize a manicure, massage or a facial for you (not included in the price). You may want to sit and sew away the hours or even just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a good book.

Friday
Breakfast, Morning tea is served as usual. Show and tell and final farewells. Checkout 12noon.
